As always the author hits the nail on the head. Fantastic book. Zombies, action, romance, the whole package. I can't seem to get enough of this story. Can't wait for the next book. Angel Lawson has a way of making her characters come alive, make you feel as if you know them. Like they're family. The action only stops long enough to catch your breath, relate the story line; finally throws in some romance. Read it in one day. Couldn't put it down.Product details

The fifth book in The Death Fields series has everything we've become accustomed to, while also giving us what we've waited for. Alex and Wyatt together and fighting side by side again. Just when you think the story is marching toward the end of the series, Angel throws us another curveball. I can't wait to read what comes next for this whole crew. Anyone who is not reading these books is missing out on an epic story that has a little of everything )
Wow, I mean, wow. That was crazy, after everything it all came to a head and Alex and her group are still being used as pawns on a chess board. Now they are stuck under a tyrannical leader what will they do if their secrets are discovered, what will happen to their allies? Also yay Alex and Wyatt are a team again!!
Alex and the gang are back but not exactly together. Just like the previous books in this series, Broke free is full of action, twists and turns, and double crosses where you do not expect them to show up. I like that I never quite know what will happen or who will show up in the next chapter. Plus who really is the bad guy this time. Alex and Cole start out the book in the custody of Chloe who is still twisted and crazy, with Alex not knowing if any of her friends and family are alive, dead, free or prisoners of Chloe. I liked how Alex ends up escaping Chloe and liked the surprise ending. I did not see that coming. So my honest review is - a wild book to add to the rest of the series and cannot wait to see how it ends. What craziness will Alex and everyone else have to go through next.
I've really enjoyed The Girl Who series so far and can't wait for the last book. I've recommended it to friends also! Keep writing!
I love the series so much! I'm a huge fan of zombie/apocalyptic/dystopian books. The only issue I had with this book was probably some of the small details that didn't make sense from the previous books. For example, the character Mary. In the previous book her name was Mary Ellen but in this one her name is Mary Alice. So I was confused on if it was the same character or not which I'm assumimg is since was with the same character from the previous book Finn. Other than that I would really recommend this serious!
I cannot sing enough praises for this series! I usually get tired of a series past a 3rd book, but with the many twists and turns, I stay hooked. As with most books, tv shows, and movies, I never believe someone is dead until the main character sees it with their own eyes and my theory stayed true, I was not disappointed! I cannot wait for the next installment and I only hope Alex gets her much deserved happy ending.
Thinking Wyatt is dead and in captivity, Alex is forced to daily brutal fights and subject to vicious abuse. After months of torture Alex is liberated and finally together with Wyatt although she is pushing him away.....up to a point when she fully commits to her love. The schemes and betrayals are set in motion and new brutal force unexploded takes over and has some sick ideas how to run the world. It was breathtaking!
