My favorite part of this book that says it all, "this isn't a love story, it's a story of love"These books have taboo parts that won't make everyone as intrigued as I was. They're brief, and a bit on the familia side.
I wrote separate reviews for these books as I started off with the VIP book, then went on to the boxed trilogy when I knew I wouldn't get enough of all these characters.
Book one: VIP
This book can be read as stand-alone. Or if you're like me and want more, continue on to book two.
If you're not a fan of cheating, this book may not be for you. But if you take the chance to read this book, you'll see it's so much more than that. Life isn't always all black and white. All these characters have major shades of gray.
I'm glad I gave this book a chance. I was worried that with the character Ysabelle, and her profession, it was going to be based on sex. I'm a prude by no means, I just like story to go hand in hand with the sex.
If the emotions and spark aren't there, the scene, no matter how well wrote, would be no better than a porno. I'm so glad that wasn't the case here.
I loved Ysabelle, the childhood she struggled to survive alone, the strong willed woman she struggled to be. The vulnerable parts that she left show, every now and again. She didn't let her $*** past keep her skittish and use it to be annoying and whiney. She let it build her to be the lady she always wanted to be.
I liked Sebastian, he didn't set out to do what he did, but he did have the best of intentions (in a situation that was going to happen regardless). He's not the alpha, box boy type we grow accustomed to in so many fictional books. He's human. That's the only way I can describe him. He has so many faults, but tries to be the man everyone around him expect him to be. He wears a mask with the company he holds.
I liked how the reader grew up with characters and got a sense of them and their character, before the actual "life" situation came about. It brought better understanding to lead to his actions. I am no way saying, "it's okay to cheat." But there's more to it than anyone could see coming.
M. Robinson has a way of making you fall for her characters, then showing you all of their ugly, only to watch them wake up and see the light at the end of their tunnel.
I'm off to book two in this series.
Book two: MADAM
This book can be read as a stand-alone, but if you want to know more about Ysabelle, you'll want to start on book one.
There's a taboo warning on this one. They're brief interactions in the familia aspect, but if you had the glimpse of Madam in the first book, you'll know .... NOTHING. IS. OFF LIMITS!!
This is Madam's book. From childhood, all the way to present.
How she became what she was, all those hidden secrets you want to know from her interactions with Ysabelle, in book one.
She's cold hearted at times, but at others, she makes you see her soul.
If you read this book, parts will make you love her and think she's so bad @$$, others you'll want to throat punch her.
I found this book to hold my interest, except for the repeated parts of book one. I skimmed most of that, but read her thoughts in between, especially when it came to the conversations with Sebastian.
This book has a good bit of sex in it, I guess when you're a Madam (or in training to be one), it gives you a deeper picture. But I like the more story than the sex.
I would recommend this book. I'm off to book three. Let's see if Madam, actually holds all the cards.
Book three: MVP.
This book is where everyone's world collides, and all the cards on the table.
Who will come out standing in the end??
Who truly holds all the power and will be able to say, "THE WORLD IS MINE??"
Past, present, future. It all catches up with you in some way. But the way this author has all the players in this game, thinking they can all say, CHECKMATE! And pulling out the rug, just damn.
That ending was perfect. All questions were answered throughout, and even some twists you never did.
This is book 3/3. But if you can't get enough, there is a side book from one person I can't wait to hear from.
If you haven't read a book by M. Robinson yet, what are you waiting for??
I would recommend any book from this author.

The VIP Trilogy edition by M Robinson Contemporary Romance eBooks Reviews
M. Robinson ROCKS!!!! VIP is full of emotions, drama, sex, and angst.
This book has is a dual POV story that give you the chance to truly get attached to the characters. M. Robinson has a talent, that makes all the characters feel real and you have an attachment to everyone, for some it is love and others it reminds you of the person that you wish you didn't have to know.
Madam takes you into the head of Madam and you see what makes her tick and why she makes the choices she does. It exposes the many layers that Madam is made of and makes you love and hate her even more. The twist and turns had me at the edge if my seat and I was shocked at some of the surprises I was reading. Some of them had me shocked and others had me excited that I was right on my guess.
M. Robinson is a talented author that has me hooked on her writing style form day one. She loads her stories with sex, angst emotions and drama. Her books have given me many book hangovers.
As much as I thought the first two books were a rollercoaster of emotions, drama and sex. This book takes the cake. M.Robinson is not your typical author where when you are a third of the way in the book you can predict the rest of the story. No, her stories keep you on the edge of you seat and will give you a book hangover. Her books are like an addiction, you can't get enough of it fast enough.
I LOVE, love , love M. Robinson and am always excited when I get something new of hers to read. Take the time to read this you won't regret it. If you love angst angst and drama this is surely a book you will enjoy.
I had the opportunity to read M. Robinson's, "The Madam -VIP 2", which is a standalone. I have never read VIP or MVP, but the synopsis lured me in. What an amazing read. It reads like a memoir of Lilith aka "The Madam" as she discusses or in someway justifies her lifestyle and everything that has happened from her childhood to her current age, which is her late fifties. she speaks of discovering her sexuality, the influences of her parents or lack there of. Her sexual experiences, the men of life, dethroning her mother, and her rise to power. It is filled with decades of destruction, deceit and sex! Decadent and delicious sex! I found this book amazing! I couldn't put it down.
Storyline-
It gets 5 books as it was definitely a page turner. And it was different from any book I've ever read, which was refreshing.
Characters-
OMG! Love them. Lilith and her delivery of her story had me hooked from the the first few lines. She's blunt, honest, crass at times, and manipulative, but always feminine. I feel she has an inner battle to not be her mother, her predecessor, who was much more ruthless than she was, but being being ruthless was a necessary evil to keep the business afloat.
I loved Mika, and the chemistry between the two. He knew exactly what she needed and when. They definitely loved each other, beyond a friendship.
"The Madame" is my introduction Ysabelle, who I like. I like her snark, and her challenging ways, I am now reading book 1. I love that I started with book 2.
Sex/Scenes of Intimacy-
What do you think? Five (5) drippin' wet panties. The book is a menagerie of sex. Sex was used as a weapon, as a tool, and as the anecdote. And the sex was wild. "The Madame" scenes include trists MFM, FF, MF.
"The Madame - VIP 2" is a five (5) star read!!!!!! Recommend this to you all!!!!!
My favorite part of this book that says it all, "this isn't a love story, it's a story of love"
